The opportunity to perform with EYB is a unique experience. The young dancers are coached by and then perform alongside international principal artists. EYB’s large cast ensures that each ballet is performed with the scale and grandeur which was originally intended. The company is one of the largest ballet companies in t he UK and is made up of 8 professional principals and 100 local dancers (aged 8 – 18). EYB principal dancers are of the highest calibre and have joined EYB from companies such as English National Ballet, La Scala, Milan and the Boston Ballet.
There is a £470 course fee for dancers who participate in the production. Dancers receive nearly 100 hours of tuition in total for the project. Scholarships and sibling discounts are available and the fees are payable in instalments.
Rehearsals for the ballet will take place on Tues 4th July, Weds 30th Aug – Sun 3rd Sept, Sat 9th – Sun 10th Sept and Fri 22nd – Sun 24th at a secondary school in or near to Wolverhampton. Rehearsals on school days will take place after school and Saturday rehearsals start at 2pm to minimise disruption to normal dance classes.
